Foley & Lardner LLP recently announced the availability of its Senior Living Distressed Assets Matchmaker tool, an online tool geared exclusively to the senior living industry. This tool is designed to bring together those seeking to purchase (seekers) or sell (sources) distressed senior living assets.
The tool is the latest addition to Foley’s proprietary Private Equity Matchmaker software platform, which includes the Senior Living Private Equity Matchmaker tool that was launched in 2009.
With its automated search function and deal-matching capability, the Senior Living Distressed Assets Matchmaker tool evaluates potential matches based on key attributes including the type and stage of the distressed asset, character of the asset/debtor, facility type and location. When a match is identified, the system generates an email notifying Foley attorneys of the potential compatibility so that introductions can be made.

Burwell presented “Employee Privacy in the Electronic Age: Is Big Brother Watching You?” at the Bernard Gottfried Labor Law Symposium in October in Detroit.
In October, Burwell and Nemeth addressed social networking issues affecting employers at a large multi-national insurance group in Connecticut in a presentation entitled, “Hey, Get out of my Face…Book!” Terry Bonnette presented on the same topic at the Greater Ann Arbor Society for Human Resource Management (GAASHRM) in November.
