Last of five Bronner's vandalism suspects pleads
FRANKENMUTH (AP) -- The last of five young suspects in the Christmas Day vandalism at Bronner's Christmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth has accepted a plea deal and gone to jail.
Twenty-one-year-old Nickolas Bright made the plea as he was about to stand trial in the Christmas morning attack on the iconic Michigan tourist attraction. About 50 figurines were damaged.
Saginaw County Circuit Judge James Borchard then revoked Bright's bond ahead of his sentencing Sept. 15.
In exchange for his guilty plea to malicious destruction of property less than $20,000, prosecutor dropped a charge of malicious destruction over $20,000.
The five vandals were ages 17 to 21 and from Genesee County's Genesee Township.
