Constitutional Law in post 9/11 era discussed at PALS meeting

The Polish American Legal Society conducted its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, Sept. 14, at P.L.A.V. Dearborn Heights Post 16 Memorial Home.

The meeting featured criminal defense attorney Frank D. Eaman (third from left) who spoke on "Criminal and Constitutional Law in the Post 9/11 Era."

Welcoming Eaman to the meeting were (left to right) Wayne County 19th District Court Judge Richard Wygonik, PALS president; Southgate attorney Doug Hamel; Ryan Hill with CAN-AM Legal Services; Bloomfield Hills attorney Mary Ann Kozlowski; Grosse Pointe Park attorney Paul Tylenda; and Wayne County 20th District Court Judge Mark Plawecki.

"We have a new group of people who are very active in bringing new life and more life to the club," noted Wygonik.

"We're planning meetings in October with Judge Turfe as a speaker, a meeting in November with an administrative law judge as a speaker, and, very important, our installation of officers is going to be on Oct. 12 and Justice Diane Hathaway has agreed to come and swear the officers of the organization in."
