OBITUARY
J. Martin Brennan Jr.
J. Martin Brennan Jr., age 58 of Rochester Hills, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011.
Brennan was currently seated on the Rochester Hills City Council for District 2 since 2007, a former special assistant attorney general for the State of Michigan, former Democratic nominee to the Michigan Supreme Court, and a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the City of Rochester Hills from 1997 - 2007. He practiced law for 30 years, was a member of the DAC for 25 years, and was an avid bowler. He was the former city attorney for the City of Fraser, former president of CMN, and a former vice president of Rochester Hills City Council.
Brennan was a 1975 graduate of the University of Michigan, and a 1978 graduate of Detroit College of Law.
He is survived by his wife Leta; children, Caitlyn and Trip; and siblings Terry (Ryan) Armbruster, Betsy (Bill) Moynihan, Jean (Nate) Fisher, Joe (Barbara) Brennan, Tony (Janice) Brennan, and Dan (Cristie) Brennan.
Funeral Mass is planned for Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church, 438 St. Antoine Detroit (where Brennan and his wife were married, and where their two children were baptized).
