Feb. 9 event to benefit RESTORE Foundation
The RESTORE Connection 2012, a fund-raising event for the Oakland County Drug Treatment Courts, will take place Thursday, Feb. 9, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the new Roadside Bar & Grill (formerly Brandy's), 1727 S. Telegraph Rd. in Bloomfield Hills.
The RESTORE Foundation, a nonprofit organization, was created in the fall of 2008 with the mission of "restoring hope and dignity by helping individuals overcome substance abuse to the benefit of themselves, their families, and society by sustaining the Oakland County Drug Courts," according to Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Wendy Potts, president of the Board of Directors.
The Feb. 9th event will offer the opportunity to learn more about RESTORE, its successful program, and the 2012-13 mission. The informal evening will include appetizers provided by restaurant owners Bill and Maria Roberts, along with a cash bar.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. All proceeds will benefit The RESTORE Foundation. Checks can be mailed to RESTORE at 5413 Pleasant Lake Drive, West Bloomfield, 48322.
To register, e-mail info@therestorefoundation.org or call (248) 556-7672 by Monday, Feb. 6.
