Firm takes a look at fiduciary duty, June 5
Miller, Canfield, Paddock, & Stone PLC will present "Shifting Sands of Fiduciary Duty: An SEC + ERISA Perspective" on Tuesday, June 5, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills
Miller Canfield attorneys Kenneth J. Sachs and Matthew P. Allen will provide an update on important new and emerging SEC and ERISA regulations concerning fiduciary compliance.
The discussion will also cover:
--The practical application of fiduciary compliance for broker dealers, investment advisers, and corporate general counsel and board committees in the post Dodd-Frank business climate.
--Detailed rules affecting ERISA fiduciaries, including plan sponsors and investment committees. These rules are effective 7.1.12, and require the immediate attention of ERISA fiduciaries and plan sponsors.
