Mastering computer security

The Federal Bar Association’s (FBA) Master Lawyers Committee presented “Computer Security for Dinosaurs: How to Keep Your Home Computer Secure” on Wednesday, June 6, at the law offices of Pepper Hamilton LLP in Southfield.

Among those taking part in the presentation were (left to right) attorney Michael Leibson; Peter Marsack, vice president at Vision Computer Solutions; Grosse Ile attorney Christine Dowhan-Bailey; David Murphy of Pepper Hamilton LLP; and Ed Kronk of Brooks, Wilkins, Sharkey, & Turco PLLC.

“We’re going to be discussing measures that novices to the average home-level users can take to protect themselves, their systems, and their data from deletions, unauthorized access—how they can protect their computers from crashing and having problems; how they can extend the life of their systems and just some overall best practices to have when it comes to home computing and overall security,” Marsack said.
