Suit claims Cardinals DE Talley beat bar patron

PONTIAC (AP) -- A Detroit man is suing Arizona Cardinals defensive end Ronald Talley, five unidentified bouncers and a closed bar in Birmingham he claims the NFL player repeatedly smashed a champagne bottle over his head. Thirty-year-old Robert Ford's lawsuit claims Talley attacked him for no reason as he returned from the restroom at the South Bar in Birmingham on March 26. Ford claims he was "left to die in the alley outside the bar" by bouncers who dragged him outside face first. Attorney Jonathan Marko tells The Detroit News his client's closed head injury required 13 staples. He says the suit filed in Oakland County Circuit Court will seek "millions" from the business and Talley. Talley and owners of the bar could not be reached for comment. Published: Mon, Jul 30, 2012
