Legal Aid and Defender Association, Inc. (LAD) is broadcasting a new half-hour weekly radio talk show, “Call For Justice,” Saturdays at 4 p.m. on WCHB AM 1200.
LAD provides free civil legal services to low-income residents of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb from its headquarters in Detroit and offices in Pontiac and Mount Clemens. As many as 500,000 metro Detroit residents are eligible for its services.
Hosted by President and CEO Deierdre L. Weir (far left), the program informs listeners about LAD’s services and legal issues of interest to metro Detroiters. “This program will help us meet our new objective of broad based advocacy—increasing our reach to more residents in a cost-effective manner,” Weir said.
Recent guests on the show included Kelly Bidelman (center), managing attorney of LAD’s offices Oakland and Macomb counties, and Michele Hall (right), deputy chief counsel of LAD’s Civil Law Group.
