Free seminar presented by Probate Court, April 9
On Tuesday, April 9, the Citizens Alliance for the Oakland County Probate and Circuit Courts will conduct a free seminar entitled "Removing the Mysteries of Probate Court" at the Troy Community Center from 1 to 3 p.m. This program is designed to enlighten and educate senior citizens and their families so that they may make informed decisions regarding their estate planning and understand the probate process. The Troy Community Center is located at 3179 Livernois, Room 305, in Troy.
The seminar will provide attendees with information on wills, trusts, powers of attorney, how to begin probate proceedings, when to consider use of guardianships and conservatorships and how "avoiding probate" could cause more harm than good.
Panelists will include Jill Koney Daly, probate register for the Oakland County Probate Court, and attorney Michael Fraleigh from The Fraleigh Law Firm in Troy. Materials will be available and adequate time will be available for questions.
To register for this free seminar, contact the Troy Community Center at 248-524-3484.
