UM raises tuition 1.1 pct. for instate undergrads

ANN ARBOR (AP) -- University of Michigan regents have approved a 1.1 percent tuition increase for instate undergraduates for the coming academic year. The board approved tuition levels at its meeting last month. The Ann Arbor school says the tuition increase for instate undergraduates in 2-13-14 amounts to $148 for the year and is the smallest percentage increase since 1985. The university says out-of-state undergraduates will see a 3.2 percent tuition increase, or $1,270.
