Computing Source acquires local trial graphics firm
Southfield-based Computing Source, a full-service legal support firm, announced Tuesday that it has acquired the demonstrative evidence and trial graphics firm Evidence Express, with offices in Detroit and Birmingham. Computing Source Managing Director and CEO Mark St. Peter made the announcement.
Computing Source's acquisition of Evidence Express is part of the firm's growth--including the hiring of more than 20 professionals during 2013, and a series of strategic expansions and investments in the firm's infrastructure designed to increase its capacity and suite of service offerings, all tailored to addressing the needs of attorneys and law professionals.
Founded in 2004 by litigation graphics expert Theresa Webster, Evidence Express utilizes cutting edge technology, graphic design expertise, and legal experience to consult on and quickly produce a variety of high quality visual aids for trials, mediations, settlement negotiations, and Markman hearings. Services and products include everything from standard blowups to custom charts, graphs, medical/technical illustrations, 2D and 3D animation and electronic trials.
"In today's visually-intensive world, it's imperative that attorneys utilize dynamic, top-notch creative aids to support and enhance their case presentations. Evidence Express is a trusted and recognized source for the southeast Michigan legal community and we saw great opportunity in offering their services as part of our all-in-one solution offerings at Computing Source," said St. Peter.
"In addition to bringing decades of legal design experience, Theresa and her team have the tenacity, passion and critical understanding of the litigation process that is aligned with our culture and reputation--all necessary to uphold our strong reputation as a partner to the legal community."
Prior to founding Evidence Express in 2004, Webster developed and managed Persuasive Design Group, a subsidiary of Butzel Long, and worked for more than 15 years as a legal assistant. A published author and frequent speaker on demonstrative evidence topics, Webster is the president of the Demonstrative Evidence Specialists Association, as well as a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants, the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Association of Litigation Support Professionals. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wayne State University and legal assistant certifications from Oakland University and the National Association of Legal Assistants.
Southfield-based Computing Source is an all-in-one digital evidence solution for legal professionals in Southeast Michigan. The company specializes in electronic discovery, computer forensics, copy/scan/print services, hosted document review, contract attorney staffing, expert testimony, trial technology services, demonstrative evidence & trial boards, paralegal on-call support and fixed price meet and confer consulting.
