Society plans annual St. Patrick's Parade Brunch
The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers will host the 18th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade Brunch, preceding the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 16, at Mario's Restaurant. Doors open at 10 a.m. with brunch to be served from 10:15am to noon, program to begin about 10:15 a.m. Mario's Restaurant is located at 4222 Second Avenue in Detroit. A special brunch menu complete with top-notch cuisine and drink specials will be offered. This year's parade will start at noon which leads to an earlier brunch start time than previous years.
The event will feature music for a sing-a-long presented by Cahill & Murphy as well as commentary from co-MCs Michigan Court of Appeals Judge Mike Riordan and author Fred Lauck.
A return must-see to this year's entertainment program will be an Irish dance routine by renowned Irish dancer, Paul Cusick, an ISIAL board member, and expected appearances from the Maid of Erin and the parade Grand Marshal. Audience participation will factor heavily into the program. The event will also feature prizes for the annual raffle to support the scholarship fund.
Space is extremely limited. Tickets ordered in advance cost $25 per person for ISIAL members; $30 for ISIAL non-member guests; $10 for those children 12 years old and under; and $20 for law student ISIAL members. Adult brunches will be $35 at the door without a reservation and pre-payment.
Those who would like to attend can purchase tickets using Paypal by going online to irish-lawyers.org. Tickets may also be purchased by sending a check made out to ISIAL to ISIAL c/o the Macomb County Bar Association, 40 North Main, Suite 435, Mt Clemens, 48043. Contact ISIAL at the Macomb County Bar Association at 586-468-2940 for tickets or questions.
