Stout Risius Ross (SRR) hosted its first Summer in the City party to benefit Hatch Detroit on Thursday, June 19 in downtown Detroit on the M@dison building rooftop.
Happy to welcome guests to the event were (left to right) Jesse Ultz, director in SRR’s Valuation & Financial Opinions Group; SRR Managing Director Jeff Risius; Andrew Cline, senior vice president in SRR’s Valuation & Financial Opinions Group; Ben Bershad, senior manager in SRR’s Dispute Advisory & Forensic Services Group; and Justin Cherfoli, managing director in SRR’s Dispute Advisory & Forensic Services Group.
The Detroit-themed evening featured cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music, and a charity raffle. Nick Gorga, co-founder of Hatch Detroit and partner at Honigman, Miller, Schwartz, and Cohn LLP, was in attendance to accept all donations and proceeds from the raffle. Raffle items include two Shinola watches, a Shinola bike gift card, and Detroit restaurant gift cards.
Hatch Detroit is a vehicle to champion and support independent retail businesses in Detroit through funding, exposure, education, and mentoring. Hatch Detroit provides funding for new retail to open in the city of Detroit through its annual contest. Each year, hundreds of applicants submit business plans in the hope of winning $50,000 to start their brick and mortar business in Detroit.
