Michigan jobless rate 5.7%, down 0.7 points
LANSING (AP) - The state says Michigan's seasonally unadjusted unemployment rate has fallen 0.7 percentage points in the latest month and a full point in two months.
The Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget said last week that the November jobless rate was 5.7 percent, down from 6.4 percent in October and 6.7 percent in September.
The jobless rate was 7.6 percent in November 2013.
The department says November's regional unemployment rates ranged from a low of 3.5 percent in the Ann Arbor area to a high of 7.4 percent in the northeastern Lower Peninsula.
It says the rate in populous metropolitan Detroit fell 1.1 points in November to 7 percent.
