Drone law to be discussed; demonstration offered

The Lakeshore Bar Association will host a program on the current state of drone law in Michigan followed by demonstration flights of various drones. The speaker will be David R. Baxter a 32 year aviation law specialist and former chair of the Aviation Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan.

The event will be held on Wednesday, September 23, at the Tompkins Community Center in Windmill Pointe Park in Grosse Pointe Park. Doors open at 6 p.m. The presentation begins at 6:15, followed by questions, discussion and the flight demonstrations (weather permitting). Windmill Pointe Park is located at 14920 Windmill Pointe Drive at the foot of Barrington Road.

Sandwiches and beverages will be served. The charge is $10 for members of the Lakeshore Bar Association and $15 for non-members.
