Firm sponsors 4th Annual Franny Strong Golf Outing
In 2012, Sean and Veronica McNally's infant daughter, Francesca, died from pertussis at only 12 weeks of age. In her memory, the McNallys formed the Franny Strong Foundation to raise awareness of the disease and promote its prevention. The Foundation held its 4th Annual Franny Strong Golf Outing on Monday, August 31, at Edgewood Country Club in Commerce Township. More than 100 golfers participated this year, and over $40,000 was raised to help promote the health of Michigan children.
Franny Strong's mission is to promote pertussis awareness to medical professionals and the public. The Foundation's outreach efforts include speaking engagements and educational campaigns. Because Michigan's childhood immunization rates are on the decline and vaccine preventable diseases are on the rise, Franny Strong collaborated with professionals across the state and country to design a campaign that will directly impact waning immunization rates. Franny Strong looks forward to launching the campaign.
The law firm of Kotz, Sangster, Wysocki PC served as the presenting sponsor of the 4th Annual Franny Strong Foundation Golf Outing. Further information about the Franny Strong Foundation can be found at www.frannystrong.org.
