The youngest lieutenant governor in the 50 states, Brian Calley, has focused the past five years on helping Gov. Snyder to reinvent Michigan, while at the same time transforming the role of lieutenant governor. The latest move in this venture is the launch of his new website, giving residents a more in-depth look at his activities and initiatives to improve our state.
"Being accessible to everyone is an essential part of this job," Calley said. "I want those who visit this site to gain an understanding of why I have such a passion for the issues I work on, and how we can work together to build the best Michigan for everybody."
Calley's new website, www.michigan.gov/calley, has an expanded personal biography and a video biography, as well as a newsroom. Groups also can request Calley's attendance at events and contact his office.
The updated website highlights some of the statewide initiatives Calley has taken a lead on during the past five years, including mental health reform, hearing from parents and educators about special education, the MI Hidden Talent Tour, significantly reforming the tax structure and cutting red tape for businesses to improve Michigan's job climate.
