The Debtor/Creditor Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association presented “Student Loans and You—A Guide to Managing Your Education Debt” on Thursday, October 29, at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills. Speaking at the seminar was Erik C. Stein of Gallagher Sharp in Detroit. The seminar addressed the “ins and outs” of student loan administration, repayment, collection, and eligibility. Participants received a brief history of student loans and learned about the different types of student loans, the various repayment options, and the payment postponement alternatives which would be helpful to attorneys and their clients.
