The Sixth Judicial Circuit Court and the Oakland County Probate Court received high marks for the third year in a row from a Public Satisfaction Survey which was conducted over a three-day period in the fall of 2015.
Under the direction of the State Court Administrative Office, the survey was administered to all courts statewide. Results of the survey were released in late 2015 which showed that court users say they are satisfied with their experiences in Oakland County. The survey asked questions about level of satisfaction with court services and across the board court users stated that the Oakland County courts were accessible, timely, and fair.
Highlights from the results included 91% of those being polled stated they had been treated with courtesy and respect by court staff. In answer to a question with regard to getting court business done in a reasonable amount of time, 85% of court users responded that they strongly agreed with that statement.
“Input from the citizens we serve is vital in helping the courts make critical decisions in the efficiency of court operations,” said Oakland County Circuit Court Chief Judge Nanci Grant. “Receiving high marks for three years in a row is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our court employees.”
The circuit and probate courts combined turned in more than 1,000 completed surveys from the three-day period. The surveys were completed by a range of court users, including parties to cases, attorneys, jurors, and others. For additional information about the survey results, visit www.courts.mi.gov.
