Oakland County Bar Association to host free legal aid clinic
Not everyone can afford to hire an attorney to answer their legal questions. That is why the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA), in partnership with Huron Valley Youth Assistance, will host a free Legal Aid Clinic on Thursday, March 16, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Milford High School.
During this free clinic, attorneys and legal aid providers will be on site to provide basic legal information and brief advice and counsel in the areas of Juvenile, Family, Probate, Criminal, General Civil, Bankruptcy, and Landlord/Tenant Law. Community members with legal questions are urged to attend this clinic to speak with an attorney volunteer or legal aid representative from Legal Aid and Defender Association, Lakeshore Legal Aid, or Western Michigan University Cooley Law School FLAP Clinic and Elder Law Clinic.
For additional information or to register for the Legal Aid Clinic, contact Merri Lee Jones at the Oakland County Bar Association at 248-334-3400. Milford High School is located at 2380 S Milford Rd. in Highland.
This event is sponsored through the generous support of the Oakland County Bar Foundation, a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization serving the legal needs of Oakland County citizens.
