The Michigan Association for Justice (MAJ) will host an Employment/Civil Rights Evening Forum/Mixer for MAJ members only on Thursday, Sept. 6, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Lockhart’s BBQ, 202 E. 3rd Street in Royal Oak.
MAJ?members can enjoy an evening of wine, food, and discussion on how to obtain substantial verdicts despite minimal wage loss damages.
Carol Laughbaum, of Sterling Attorneys at Law, will discuss her recent $16.8M federal court jury verdict in an ethnicity discrimination case in which the employer argued plaintiff had no damages, Khalaf v Ford Motor Company et al, case no. 15?12604.
Megan Bonanni, of Pitt, McGehee, Palmer, & Rivers, will discuss her recent whistleblower case against the Jackson Public Schools which resulted in a $388,000 award.
Jennifer McManus of Fagan McManus PC will moderate the forum.
