The Michigan Association for Justice’s Annual Workers’ Compensation/Social Security Seminar will be offered Friday, Jan. 25, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Four Points by Sheraton in Novi.
Presentations will include Dr. Nazih Iskander on pain management, and Dr. Jawad Shah and Dr. Zubair Sarmast on Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Surgery. Amie Peters, president of Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group, will talk about how national issues impact attorneys’ practices, and MAJ’s Legislative Counsel will give a legislative update. Seasoned attorneys will present on workers’ compensation residual wage earning capacity decisions, WC and SS state of the law, and WC practice tips. U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge David Grand, Eastern District of Michigan, will present on federal social security disability income appeals.
