Retirement benefits for the adjutant and assistant adjutant generals will be revised under legislation signed Tuesday by Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder.
“This legislation will remove limitations currently placed on our top military leaders in Michigan so that they can receive full benefit for their federal service,” Snyder said.
Senate Bill 747, sponsored by state Sen. Jim Stamas, amends the Michigan Military Act to revise how retirement benefits are calculated for the adjutant general and assistant adjutant generals. The bill is now Public Act 378 of 2018.
