'State of the Law' offered by OCBA on November 19

The Oakland County Bar Association will present a “State of the Law” seminar on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from noon to 1 p.m. at the OCBA offices, 1760 South Telegraph Road, Suite 100, in Bloomfield Hills.

Attorney Alona Sharon will provide a comprehensive update on the year’s development in criminal law. 

There will be an overview of this year’s published Michigan Court of Appeals and Supreme Court cases with a focus on sentencing decisions. The most important decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court will also be reviewed.

Credit has been approved with the OCBA for 1 Criminal credit and 1 Juvenile credit.

Cost for OCBA members is $12 pre-registration or $25 on site registration. Non-members pay $25 pre-registration or $40 on site registration. MIDC court appointed attorneys can attend for free. To register, visit www.ocba.org and click on “events.”
