The Oakland County Bar Association presented “Keys to an Effective Preliminary Exam” on Thursday, March 12, at the OCBA offices in Bloomfield Hills. Speaking at the seminar was Judith S. Gracey (pictured) of The Gracey Law Firm. During this seminar, attendees explored how to prepare themselves and thier clients for a preliminary examination. Topics of discussion included defining probable cause, timing and jurisdiction, reasons to waive (or not waive) an exam, adjournment strategies, witness examination, and bind-over arguments.
