The Oakland Mediation Center (OMC), Oakland County’s leading mediation and conflict resolution training facility, is inviting legal professionals to its 2020 advanced mediation trainings.
The first training is the upcoming “Mediator Wisdom, Reflection, Imitation, and Experience” taking place online Tuesday and Wednesday, August 11-12, from 1 to 5 p.m. Both new and seasoned mediators will learn mediator wisdom with this reflective and experiential advanced mediator training. Through mediation role-plays, participants will utilize facilitated reflection to capture learning moments, learn new skills and techniques from observing their peers, and gain hands-on mediation experience.
“OMC has been dedicated to providing quality mediation training for over 29 years,” said Charity Burke, OMC executive director. “Training is designed to give participants, from all backgrounds, skills they can use immediately to serve and make a lasting impact on our community.”
OMC’s trainings are approved by SCAO and are designed to be highly interactive and skill based. This training will take place online using the free downloadable conferencing software Zoom. Course materials, role plays, and Zoom instructions will be sent to participants prior to the date of training.
