Local attorneys to speak at online 'Evidence Boot Camp'

The Criminal Defense Association of Michigan will present "Evidence Boot Camp B" online as a Zoom program on Thursday, April 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. and Friday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This program offers hands-on small group skills training. Attendees do not have to take prior Boot Camps to attend this Boot Camp. Speaking at the training will be Mike Steinberg and Pamela Johnson.

Steinberg is a seasoned trial lawyer in the Detroit Metropolitan area. As of February 2021, he celebrates 30 years of practicing in Michigan and maintains a caseload laden with capital cases. Steinberg also is enters 30 years of membership with CDAM, and has been on the Board of Directors since 2002. He was the first to become a Constitutional Warrior and has held membership on the Education Committee for almost 30 years. Steinberg helped create the trial skills programs and has frequently been a presenter for CDAM. He, a founding faculty member of the Evidence Boot Camp, has been training lawyers of all levels of practice, and looks forward to another successful year of training.

Johnson graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2000. She served as an assistant prosecuting attorney in Oakland County from 2001 to 2007. She has been in private practice specializing in criminal defense since that time. Johnson has been a CJA panel attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan since 2016. She has conducted over 150 criminal jury trials. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan's Criminal Law Section, Oakland County Bar Association, and CDAM.
