The Criminal Defense Association of Michigan will present the webinar “A Study in Firearms & Ballistics” via Zoom on Friday, October 15, from 10 a.m. to noon. This online program will feature Christopher Robinson, a forensic consultant in Atlanta.
Robinson has been in the forensic field for nearly 23 years. He worked for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for 10 years as a firearms examiner and then became the director of the Crime Lab for the City of Atlanta Police Department and held that position for 2 1/2 years. He now has his own company, Chris Robinson Forensics and has held that position for the past 11 years. He has worked over 11000 cases and has testified approximately 800 times. He has been involved in cases in over 25 states and is also a consultant for CNN, Headline News, and numerous other television shows. He is certified in the areas of firearms and ballistics, gunshot residue analysis, blood spatter analysis, and crime scene reconstruction.
Topics covered in this webinar include: Review of various weapons; Parts of a Pistol; Parts of a Revolver; Parts of a Rifle; Parts of a Shotgun; Parts of a Semi-Automatic; Triggering Mechanisms; Ammunition, Cartridges and Cases, including comparisons; Testing; Ejection Analysis/Trajectory; Impact on Glass Objects and Metal Objects; X-ray Analysis; and Case Review.
