Webinar focuses on families impacted by domestic violence
The Michigan Judicial Institute will present the webinar "Safe and Together in Michigan: Improving Assessment, Engagement and Interventions for Families Impacted by Domestic Violence" hosted by Child Welfare Services on Tuesday, February 22, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
This training will provide information and data related to the prevalence of domestic violence in Michigan child welfare cases, interventions and training, the components of the Safe and Together model and next steps for continued implementation and improvement. Speaking at the training will be Danielle Martin, Business Service Center 3 director, Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
This training is intended for all child welfare professionals including jurists, court staff, prosecutors, attorneys, Lawyer Guardians Ad Litem, CPS and foster care workers, tribes, private agencies, law enforcement, medical professionals, mental health providers, and education professionals.
To register for the webinar, visit https://mjieducation.mi.gov and click on "events." After the registration is approved, attendees will receive a confirmation e-mail from Zoom. The email will include login information.
