Bodman PLC is pleased to announce that attorney Jake W. Gordon has joined the firm as a member in the Detroit office.
Gordon joins Bodman's Banking Practice Group and Bankruptcy and Debtor-Creditor Rights Practice Group. He concentrates his legal practice on representing creditors, including major banks, in commercial loan workouts, in-court and out-of-court corporate restructurings, and other troubled credit matters.
He is an experienced restructuring attorney who regularly counsels a broad range of corporate clients in Chapter 11 cases across the United States.
Before joining Bodman, Gordon was an associate in the Chicago office of Kirkland & Ellis. He was a member of the firm's restructuring group representing corporations in some of the largest restructurings nationwide across various industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, media, retail, and telecommunications.
Gordon is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School. He also earned his undergraduate degree in philosophy, political science and economics, with honors, from the University of Michigan.

Dykema recently announced the addition of Mark Chutkow as leader of the firm's Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance Team. Chutkow, who will reside in the firm's Bloomfield Hills office, comes to Dykema after serving as an assistant U.S. attorney for 24 years, including the past 17 in the Eastern District of Michigan.
As the leader of Dykema's Government Investigations and Corporate Compliance practice, Chutkow will help companies and executives navigate through complex, high-stakes government enforcement and civil litigation matters. His practice extends from fraud, RICO, and corruption matters to environmental enforcement actions. Chutkow's experience also spans routine compliance audits, high-stakes, high-profile investigations, and courtroom litigation.
As a federal prosecutor, Chutkow first served as an assistant U.S. attorney in Seattle before transferring to the Eastern District of Michigan where he headed the Public Corruption Unit and later the 85-prosecutor Criminal Division. In those roles, he investigated, tried, and supervised cases resulting in convictions of some of the most recognized names in local government. Chutkow also obtained and oversaw record-breaking criminal fines and penalties against global manufacturers and officials engaged in consumer fraud, corruption, and kickback schemes.
Throughout his career, Chutkow has received numerous honors, including multiple Director's Awards for Superior Performance from the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, as well as recognition from IRS Criminal Investigation, the U.S. Department of Justice, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. He received the Leonard R. Gilman Award for the practice of criminal law from the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Chutkow earned his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School and his B.A. from Yale University.

Butzel attorneys Jennifer Dukarski and Mitchell Zajac will discuss how Special Terms and Conditions (Ts and Cs) for software and related items are becoming more commonplace for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customers during the 2022 Original Equipment Suppliers Association's (OESA) "Breaking the Code: Software Ts and Cs," virtual program on Friday, March 11. The program is designed for supplier professionals in sales, purchasing, engineering and legal functional roles.
Dukarski is the leader of Butzel's Connected Car and Autonomous Vehicle Specialty team. She focuses her practice at the intersection of technology and communications with an emphasis on emerging and disruptive issues: digital media and content, cybersecurity and privacy, infotainment and shared mobility, and connected and autonomous cars.
Zajac is a member of Butzel's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. His practice also includes a focus on automotive, intellectual property, regulatory and emissions compliance, and sports law. He is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Linda Paullin-Hebden at Warner Norcross + Judd LLP has been elected to the firm's Management Committee. She will fill the remainder of the term for Mark Wassink who was elected Warner's managing partner in January.
Paullin-Hebden, who practices in the firm's Detroit office, focuses her practice on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, investment adviser compliance, and general corporate matters. She serves as securities compliance adviser to several registered investment advisers and as an adviser to closely held corporations and venture capital and private equity funds.

Maddin, Hauser, Roth, & Heller PC is pleased to announce that Mariel G. White and Sydney E. Wright have joined the firm as associate attorneys.
White handles a range of matters including employment and workforce issues and general litigation. Before joining full-time as an associate, she worked in Maddin Hauser's summer program.
White attended law school at Michigan State University College of Law and graduated in 2021.
Wright is a member of the firm's Complex Litigation and Risk Advisory and Financial Services and Real Property Litigation groups. Her work encompasses a range of matters including general business and contractual disputes, real estate and mortgage litigation, general civil litigation, construction disputes, and financial services matters.
Wright earned her law degree in 2018 from Michigan State University College of Law.

Clark Hill recently announced the addition of David Hansma as a member of the firm's Litigation practice, resident in the Birmingham office.
Hansma's practice is focused on complex commercial and business litigation, including breach of contract, shareholder and partnership disputes, fraud, non-compete litigation, business torts, class actions, and real estate and banking litigation. He represents clients before state and federal courts, arbitration panels, and mediators across the country.

Hansma earned his law degree from Wayne State University Law School. While in law school, he interned with the 17th Circuit Court in Kent County. He earned his B.S. from Grand Valley State University.
Hansma currently serves on the board of directors and as co-chair of the Commercial Litigation Section of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel and as a director of Patriot Week, a nonprofit founded by Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Michael Warren.
