The Association of Corporate Counsel, Michigan Chapter, will present the webinar “Preparing the Workplace and Workforce for the Return to Work,” sponsored by Littler, on Thursday, March 24, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Nearly two years into this global pandemic and many Michigan employers still have a largely remote workforce. But things are changing. This webinar will provide practical guidance for Michigan employers as they move from a remote to in person workforce and everything in between. The speakers will discuss the latest on vaccine guidance, employee health and safety, accommodation issues, and many other potential legal risks that employers may confront in this new environment.
Presenting at the webinar will be Littler Shareholder Jaclyn Giffen and Littler Office Managing Shareholder Gary Ankers.
Giffen represents employers with respect to high profile or high-risk matters spanning all aspects of employment and labor law including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblowing, and wrongful termination claims. She represents a variety of clients in a range of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, and telecommunications, and has knowledge of federal, state, and local discrimination laws.
Giffen also speaks regularly before client and other audiences regarding a myriad of employment issues from FMLA and ADA concerns, to retaliation issues, to recently enacted, and frequently evolving COVID-19 state and county requirements.
Ankers has experience counseling and representing employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters with a practice highly-focused on:
• Employment litigation defense
• Policy drafting and review
• Corporate governance
• Litigation avoidance
Appearing in various courts and administrative agencies throughout the United States, including before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Michigan Department of Civil Rights, and the National Labor Relations Board, Ankers has handled employment discrimination lawsuits, wrongful discharge matters, and labor-management relations under the National Labor Relations Act and other claims arising under:
