Wayne State University Law School will conduct its 2022 Ambulance Chase 5-km on Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Sponsored by the Wayne Law Student Bar Association Board of Governors and Kitch Attorneys and Counselors, the Ambulance Chase 5-km pokes fun at the stereotype of the ambulance-chasing lawyer while helping support a good cause, according to organizers for the 3.1-mile race.
Proceeds from the event will support the Wayne Law Public Interest Law Fund (PILF). This private fund provides scholarships to Wayne Law students to pursue unpaid positions in public interest fields.
"Public interest law students, with the aid of this fund, can gain valuable experience and serve the community through the work that they do," said a race organizer.
Sponsors of the event include Kitch Attorneys and Counselors, Wade Fink, Blume Law, the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan-Wayne Region, and others.
The entry fee is $30, which also includes a race shirt. To register, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ambulance-chase-5k-tickets-272340576997. You also can make a donation via the link.
