Wayne State University Law School will host a lecture on "No Equal Justice: The Legacy of Civil Rights Icon George W. Crockett Jr." Friday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Spencer M. Partrich Auditorium in Detroit.
George Crockett Jr. spent his life fighting racism and defending the constitutional rights of the oppressed. In their recently published book, "No Equal Justice," Wayne Law Prof. Peter Hammer, director of the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights, and Edward Littlejohn explore Crockett's life and legacy. This event will feature Hammer in conversation with civil rights attorney William Goodman about Crockett's indelible impact. Audience members will be invited to participate in a Q&A. The event will conclude with a reception.
