The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan’s Violence Against Women Project (VAWP) will present a lunchtime webinar on “Forensic Genetic Genealogy (FGG)” featuring Catherine Maggert and Joel Schultze, forensic scientists, from the Michigan State Police Forensic Science Division. The two will give a brief overview of FGG and explain MSP’s role in FGG. There will be some time following the presentation for a Q & A session.
The webinar will take place Thursday, April 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom. This training satisfies 1.5 hours of continuing legal educations for purposes of PAAM’s Best Practices Recommendation.
To register for the webinar, visit https://michiganprosecutor.org and click on “training.” Closer to the training, attendees will receive an email detailing how to join the webinar on April 14. Any questions about this process can be directed to Alex McGowan at McGowanA1@michigan.gov.
