Attorney to examine 'Intellectual Property & First Amendment'

The Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association (MIPLA) will host a virtual event on Wednesday, April 20, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. via Zoom. Speaker Maxwell Goss will discuss "Intellectual Property and the First Amendment."

The First Amendment protects expression. Intellectual property law often limits expression. In this presentation, Goss examines the impact of the First Amendment on trademark, copyright, trade secret, patent, and right of publicity law and litigation, with an emphasis on recent developments and emerging issues.

Maxwell Goss, a partner at Fishman Stewart PLLC, is a litigation and trial lawyer representing clients in trade secret, trademark, patent, and copyright cases in Michigan and around the country.
