The Rochester Bar Association will host its next meeting on Monday, April 25, from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rochester Mills Brewery, 400 Water St. in Rochester.
Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Yasmine Poles will be the guest speaker at the RBA lunch. Poles was appointed in 2020 by Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to fill the vacancy created when Judge Hala Jarbou stepped down following her appointment to the U.S. District Court, Western District of Michigan. Prior to her appointment, Poles was general counsel for Success Mortgage Partners Inc. (2017-2020) and operated the Law Offices of Yasmine I. Poles PLLC (2019-2020). She was also an assistant prosecuting attorney for Macomb County from 2005-2017. Poles earned
her law degree from Wayne State University Law School and her BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan.
Lunch attendees will be choosing from a limited menu and should plan to be seated to order by noon, with the speaker starting shortly after introductions.
