The Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association (MMLA) is proud to host an "mPower Luncheon" on Monday, May 23, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Detroit Athletic Club, 241 Madison St. in Detroit.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Meg Myers Morgan, an award-winning author, college professor, and certified executive coach. Her topic at the luncheon will be "How to Negotiate: From Higher Salary to Life Satisfaction (and everything in between)."
Morgan's latest book, "Everything is Negotiable" (Seal Press, 2018)-based on her notable TEDx Talk-is a best-seller and has been translated in multiple languages. She earned a PhD and an MPA from the University of Oklahoma and is certified in executive coaching from Columbia University. Morgan is an assistant professor at the University of Oklahoma and leads the graduate programs in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management on the OU-Tulsa campus. She is currently the chair for the Tulsa Mayor's Commission on the Status of Women.
The half-day event schedule includes:
• 11:30 a.m. - Registration and networking.
• Noon - Lunch service.
• 12:45 p.m. - Keynote address by Dr. Meg Myers Morgan.
• 1:45 p.m. - "Leadership: Lessons and Learnings" panel.
• 3 p.m. - Closing champagne toast to successful women with dessert and networking.
Cost for the luncheon is $79 per person, group of 5 for $350. Registration fee includes: networking, lunch, speakers, dessert, champagne toast, and valet parking. Attendees should note that the dress code is business attire as no denim is allowed in the DAC.
