The Oakland County Circuit Court announces upcoming judicial docket changes that will take place the week of May 23. Due to the retirement of former Circuit Judge Denise Langford Morris, Judge Jacob Cunningham will move from the Family Division to the Civil/Criminal Division and will assume her docket effective Monday, May 23. Cunningham’s criminal call will take place on Tuesday mornings beginning May 24. Chief Judge Jeffery Matis’ criminal call will move from Tuesday mornings to Thursday mornings beginning May 26.
The governor recently appointed Maureen Kinsella to the judicial seat vacated upon Langford Morris’ retirement. Judge-Appointee Kinsella will be seated on the bench on Thursday, May 19. She will be assigned to the Family Division and will assume the Family docket that will be vacated upon the reassignment of Judge Cunningham to the Civil/Criminal Division. She will be in Courtroom 3A in the Courthouse Tower.
