Electronic ballots for the 2022 State Bar of Michigan elections were emailed Friday, May 27, with online voting ending at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15.
There are contested races for the Judicial Tenure Commission and the Board of Commissioners in Districts H and I. All active members of the State Bar will receive a ballot for the Judicial Tenure race. Unless attorneys addresses on file are in one of the districts where there is a contested race, they will not receive a ballot for any other race.
Voting is conducted online. Beginning on May 27, Michigan lawyers will receive an email message with a link to their personal ballot for the race(s) they are entitled to vote. Members should not forward this email as it is personal ballot information.
The e-mail will come from sbmelection@electionservicescorp.com with the subject "Vote Now in the 2022 State Bar of Michigan Election-E-Ballot enclosed." The voting site is secure and offers the same level of privacy and anonymity as voting by mail. The system prevents anyone from voting more than once.
