The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the Federal Bar Association, Eastern District of Michigan Chapter, will host a “POWER Act Presentation” on Tuesday, August 9, from 11 a.m. to noon in the Detroit Room of the Theodore Levin U.S. Courthouse, 231 W. Lafayette in Detroit.
The presentation—covering the Pro Bono Work to Empower and Represent Act of 2018—is in conjunction with the chapter’s pro bono committee and will provide information those interested in providing pro bono services to survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
This is a free event. Registration is not required but appreciated, and light refreshments will be served. Register online by visiting www.fbamich.org and clicking on “events.”
