Justices to celebrate Constitution Day with students

The Michigan Supreme Court Learning Center will celebrate Constitution Day with Michigan students this year by offering instruction about the Constitution, a Zoom webinar, Michigan Hall of Justice building tours, and a question and answer session with Justices Elizabeth T. Clement and Elizabeth M. Welch, respectively. Due to Constitution Day's weekend timing, the Learning Center will host both in-person and online events.

The virtual celebration will take place Friday, September 16, from 10 to 10:40 a.m. The in-person celebration will be conducted Monday, September 19, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Michigan Hall of Justice Learning Center, 1st Floor, 925 W. Ottawa St. in Lansing.

Federal law requires schools to teach about the U.S. Constitution on or near September 17, the date it was signed in 1787.
