Former Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Deborah Tyner died on September 7 after battling encephalitis in recent years. She was 66.
Tyner will be remembered for her political awareness, her positions as an attorney, an Oakland County Circuit Court judge, as well as board positions on locally based organizations such as the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, Executive Committee of UJF, Temple Israel, holding a seat on the Beaumont Foundation Hospital board, and supporter of JARC and Kadima/GESHER,.
Tyner considered herself fortunate to be able to give back to her community in many charitable and philanthropic ways and readily took advantage of being able to do so. Her community contributions also included volunteering as a qualified docent to help educate for the Zekelman Holocaust Center.
Tyner was a beloved wife of 39 years to Richard Herman and the late Scott Raderman. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline and Brandon; and grandchildren, Herschel, Xander, Michael and Damian.
The funeral was held at Ira Kaufman Chapel on September 9. Interment was at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.
It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Tyner may do so by making a contribution to:
