Oakland County Health Division (OCHD) and Energizing Connections for a Healthier Oakland (ECHO) is launching a countywide community survey to gather residents’ views on key issues that affect health and wellness. Survey results will help prioritize and respond to important health concerns in Oakland County. The survey is available online at www.oakgov.com/echo.
“We want to hear what the most important health and quality of life issues are for Oakland County residents,” said Calandra Green, health officer. “We are trying to engage as many people as possible by offering several formats to complete the survey.”
Organizations that would like to assist in distributing the survey, can email echo@oakgov.com for more information. Surveys are available in English, Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish.
The survey is one of many ways that ECHO is collecting data and resident input to help create a community health improvement plan for the next five years. The county wants to hear from those who are 18 years old or older and a resident or visit Oakland County.
To complete the survey and learn more about ECHO, visit www.oakgov.com/echo or call contact Nurse on Call, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, at 800-848-5533.
The survey asks residents/community members to share their thoughts on topics ranging from access to medical care and support services to various health issues within their community. It also touches on community characteristics, including affordable housing, reliable public transportation, and food access.
