The Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan will present the Traffic Safety Training Program webinar "Prosecuting the Drugged Driver" on Thursday, March 16, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. via Zoom.
Impaired driving, particularly those drivers impaired by illicit or prescription drugs, is a serious crime. This training will provide prosecutors, assistant prosecutors, law enforcement, and traffic safety personnel with the tools and resources they need to effectively investigate and prosecute drugged driving cases.
Topics to be covered include:
• Overview of toxicology in drugged driving investigations
• An overview of the seven drug categories by a Michigan Drug Recognition Expert Officer
• Prosecuting a drugged driving case
This webinar course is approved for 4 hours of credit under PAAM's recommended CLE Best Practice. The training handouts, if any, will be made available the day of each webinar.
