Serial peeping Tom pleads guilty

A Detroit man pled guilty for peeping through windows in Eastpointe and Warren.

Marquis Fleming, 41 years old, used a step ladder to peek through a young girls’ windows.  Fleming was charged with five counts of window peeping (90 day misdemeanor) in Eastpointe and one count of window peeping (90 day misdemeanor) in Warren.

On April 6, Fleming pled guilty to three counts of window peeping in Eastpointe. Fleming will be sentenced on Wednesday, April 26, at 1 p.m. in Eastpointe District Court and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Jeff Stone will be asking for two years of supervised probation with a tether.

On Tuesday, Fleming pled guilty as charged to one count of Window Peeping (90 day misdemeanor) in Macomb County 37th District Court in Warrren. Judge Michael Chupa sentenced Fleming to two years in person probation, GPS tether for 12 months, must not be within a quarter mile of the residence where the crime took place and enter a cognitive restructuring program.

“It is despicable that someone would prey on young children.  This type of crime can quickly escalate to more serious crimes against young females. I would like to thank Eastpointe and Warren Police Departments for working together to get the accused brought to justice,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
