Michigan Judicial Council seeking public comments for May meeting

The Michigan Judicial Council is seeking public comments for its next meeting conducted online Thursday, May 11, from 4 to 5 p.m. via Zoom. The council will receive written comments and oral testimony on its Strategic Agenda, Operational Plan, and 2022 Annual Report.

The council is charged with making recommendations to the Michigan Supreme Court on matters pertinent to the administration of justice, including developing a strategic agenda for the judicial branch and suggesting proposals that would enhance the work of all courts. Since its inception in April 2021, the council has outlined a strategic planning process, identified its mission and vision statements, and long-range goals for the judicial branch. The work groups of the council have been working on advancing the initiatives that were outlined in the strategic agenda and operational plan.

Those who would like to submit comments for the May 11 meeting should visit www.courts.michigan.gov/administration/special-initiatives/mjc and complete the fillable PDF form. Zoom coordinates will be sent to participants once they submit the form. Anyone is free to watch the livestream via the court's YouTube page.
