In light of Senior Citizens Month, state Rep. Sharon MacDonell (D-Troy) will host a town hall on today, May 8, to discuss senior issues and experiences.
The Senior Issues Town Hall will take place today at 4:30 p.m. at the Troy Community Center, 3179 Livernois Road in Troy.
Joining MacDonell will be:
• Penny Luebs, Oakland County commissioner
• Jim Ellison, director of Older Adults Services for Oakland County
• Melissa Seifert, associate state director, AARP
• Stephanie Hall, research and advocacy manager, Area Agency on Aging 1-B
• Katie Wendel, director of planning and advocacy, Area Agency on Aging 1-B
“This town hall will serve as an opportunity for seniors and families to learn why Michigan is a great place to age and grow old,” MacDonell said.
