The Michigan Justice Fund is proud to partner with the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, the Prison Creative Arts Project at the University of Michigan, and Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) to present the Free Your Mind exhibition highlighting art and incarceration in Michigan.
The exhibition uplifts the work and experiences of artists and advocates who are directly impacted by the carceral and criminal legal systems in Michigan. The Free Your Mind exhibition seeks to stimulate imagination and activate bold, solution driven responses towards creating a more equitable and just world.
The exhibition is housed at MOCAD in the Mike Kelley’s Mobile Homestead space at 4454 Woodward Ave. in Detroit. The exhibition is open now through September 3. To plan a visit, go to https://mocadetroit.org/free-your-mind.
