The State Appellate Defender Office and the Criminal Defense Resource Center will present a webinar on "Cross-Examination in CSC Cases" Tuesday, September 19, from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.
Attorney Mary Chartier will lead the webinar. Chartier is a partner and criminal defense litigator at Chartier & Nyamfukudza, PLC. She litigates criminal defense cases in courts throughout the state, including practicing extensively in federal court.
Chartier is a member of the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan (CDAM) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She is also chairperson of the Ingham County Bar Association's Criminal Defense Section and former president of the Board of Directors of the Ingham County Bar Association. She taught at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School for more than ten years, including teaching the nation's first medical marijuana class.
Chartier has presented at numerous nationwide and state conferences on topics related to criminal defense, including presenting at conferences organized by the CDAM, Michigan Judges Association, National College for DUI Defense, and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
